Rachel Dodge

Rachel has been playing music since she was old enough to walk. She started on piano and flute, then picked up the violin and viola. She has studied music performance at the University of Utah and privately with such teachers as: Jane Mensel, Karen Child, Karen Bergeson, Roberta Zalkind, and Julie Edwards. She is a member of the Utah Philharmonia Orchestra and in the last 10 years has performed with such groups as the Cathedral of the Madeleine Choir and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. She also has a passion for chamber music and is president, principal violist, and co-founder of the Utah Chamber Ensemble. She has had compositions and arrangements performed by the Utah Jubilate Choir. Rachel teaches beginners through early advanced students in the Suzuki method for both violin and viola, and takes on students ages 3-18 . In addition to her private teaching, Rachel teaches music and runs an after-school orchestra program at St. Olaf Catholic School in Bountiful, Utah where she hopes to share her love of music with every student in the classroom.
